Our background in civil engineering has seen KIM deliver a number of groundwork projects including car parks and drainage as well as refurbishing industrial units and farm buildings.
We have a number of existing commercial clients for whom we carry out shop-fitting and reconfigurations of their client-facing space along with maintenance and repairs across commercial portfolios or on a specific operational asset.
Practice refurbishments for optical group - various locations
Davis Opticians are a local, family-run firm who recently celebrated their 60th anniversary. They have five practices across Bucks, Northants and Leicestershire and KIM carries out the large majority of their major works projects.
This involves internal reconfiguration, refurbishment and shop-fitting to ensure both their operational and patient-facing space is fit for purpose.
Larger projects have included new office space in the Kettering branch and a wholescale reconfiguration of the Thrapston branch. Both of these buildings originally included separate residential accommodation which has been converted into space for staff amenity. The practices remained operational throughout so working with the team on site was essential to successful completion of the projects.
Conversion of Dutch barn into offices - Strixton
An old Dutch barn was converted to create modern commercial office space and provide an alternative income stream for a local farmer.
Major refurbishment projects - Castle Ashby
KIM have been working with Compton Estate over a number of years to refurbish various properties in and around Castle Ashby, Easton Maudit and Yardley Hastings. Many of the properties are heritage or thatched and require significant work to return them to a usable state. Others we have converted to commercial ventures for the Estate including Home Farm which will provide accommodation for guests.
