Thermal performance in your home

As average temperatures increase across the globe we are experiencing more and more weather events here in the UK which require our homes to perform in different ways to how they were originally designed.
The installation of double-glazing, improving roof and wall insulation and retrofitting heat pumps all help to improve thermal comfort. Even simple actions like installing thermal blinds either internally or externally to provide solar shading can make a huge difference during hot weather.
We are also helping clients to make use of the weather. This can include installing solar panels to generate electricity and sustainable drainage systems to collect and disperse water from rainfall.
The solar energy can be stored in batteries to allow re-use of renewable energy overnight and rainwater can be re-used for greywater systems (flushing toilets) and for watering gardens and lawns.
