KIM Construction was set up by John Durden in 1988 and run from a home office until two contracts came in to build a new car park at Cranfield University and maintain housing for Milton Keynes Council.
An emphasis on training
We are a local firm supporting local businesses and tradespeople. We support young students coming into the industry training up apprentices across the different trades with grant funding from the Construction Industry Board.
Since John retired in 2023, Des Carrington has taken over as Managing Director supported by his wife Sue and, more recently, Hannah Durden (John’s daughter). We directly employ a team of experienced craftsmen to maintain control of the quality of our work as well as working with various local sub-contractors with whom we have long-standing and trusted relationships.
